Occupational Therapist

Rachel is a passionate Occupational Therapist based in Brisbane. She holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Queensland.

Rachel has worked in the mental health sector for 13 years including acute services, therapy programs, vocational rehabilitation, case management and in the NDIS. She works with clients from age 18 to 65 years old. Rachel offers trauma informed care, is LGBTQI+ friendly and neuro affirming in her practice.

Rachel has completed additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Sensory Modulation, Eating Disorders, Persistent Pain, Suicide and Risk Assessment, Substance Use Disorders, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Trauma, Occupational Performance Coaching and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy amongst other areas.

Rachel is a great advocate for her clients and loves being an OT.

Rachel offers face-to-face appointments in Brisbane or telehealth support Australia wide.

Jane Esslemont

Occupational Therapist - Contractor

Jane is an experienced Occupational Therapist working with adults experiencing mental health and psychosocial disability. Her approach is person-centred, strengths-based, recovery-oriented and holistic, with a focus on understanding the whole person and what matters most to them. 

Jane provides trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+ inclusive occupational therapy, working collaboratively with each person to build self-understanding, develop practical strategies and support greater confidence, independence and participation in everyday life. 

She offers both in-person and telehealth occupational therapy, depending on individual needs, preferences and circumstances. Jane is an independent contractor providing OT services through Support Me OT.

  • We provide OT services for NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan managed and over 18 years old. Fees for service are $193.99 per hour in line with the NDIA service fee schedule. Travel is charged at up to $48.50 (30 minutes travel) each way. Non-labour travel is $0.99 per kilometre.

  • Talk to your General Practitioner to obtain a referral to see us through medicare. Private fees are $220 for a 60 minute session and then you can submit your claim to medicare following the appointment.

  • We understand that sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible.

    More than 48 hours’ notice; no fee applies to rescheduling or cancelling your appointment.

    24-48 hours’ notice: 50% of the scheduled session fee may be charged

    Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance: the full session fee may be charged.

    This helps ensure that appointment times can be offered to other clients who may be waiting for support.
